Strictly Come Dancing star Graziano Di Prima and fiancée Giada Lini have twice had to postpone their wedding due to Covid but are blissfully loved up and hope to tie the knot next year
Strictly dancer Graziano Di Prima is thrilled to be back with his first celebrity dance partner on the show in three years but away from our screens he’s blissfully loved-up with long-term fiancée and fellow dancer Giada Lini.
Italian Latin dance champion Graziano, 30, is partnered up with comedian and Loose Women panelist Judy Love for Strictly’s 19th series.
But his work commitments have forced him and Giada to live separately due to her landing a dream role on Dancing with The Stars in her native Italy.
With no sign of the so-called Strictly curse – which leads to dancers and celebrities calling time on their relationships or marriages – the pair are happy in their relationship despite temporarily living apart.
Their paths crossed when they were touring with dance company Burn The Floor, performing to thousands of fans across the globe.
They both joined Strictly in in 2018, with Graziano teaming up with DJ Vick Hope.
He wasn’t paired with a celeb for the 2019 and 2020 series.
But Graziano returned to the contest this year alongside Judi Love, while Venetian beauty Giada landed her dream job on Dancing with The Stars in hernative Italy.
When did they get engaged?
In the ultimate grand gesture, Graziano got down on one knee during a performance of Burn The Floor in Watford, in front a packed crowd.
Their co-stars also looked on, highly emotional, as Giada said yes.
The loved-up pair then performed an intimate routine which ended in a passionate embrace.
Speaking to Hello Magazine, that same year, Graziano shared his intimate wedding plans: “I’m going to marry her in the little church in my small town.”
But like many couples the Covid pandemic saw them twice postpone their nuptials but their love remains strong and they now plan to marry next year.
Graziano wrote in a post shared on Instagram: ”Today would have been the most important day of our life, our WEDDING,” he wrote.
“Of course with this worldwide situation we decided to postpone our dream to next summer… but AMORE this day will arrive soon, and you know how much I LOVE YOU and how much I want you beside me.”
Giada also shared an emotional post, telling her followers: “Today would have been our wedding day!!! Unfortunately we cannot celebrate the way we desire, so we decided to postpone to next year… Our love is very strong so we can easily wait another year!!! Can’t wait to be your future wife @grazianodiprima.”
Do they have any kids?
Graziano and Giada are not known to have any children, as of yet.
But in April, 2020, the pair added to their home with an adorable miniature Pinscher toy dog.
Graziano shared the news on Instagram and asked his followers to help him name the pup. “Rio or Romolo?”, he asked.
The couple then confirmed the dog’s name in another Instagram post captioned: “Introducing our Rio.”
