Dad-of four Peter Andre has revealed his daughter Princess wants to follow in his footsteps and become a singer but says he won’t agree to her signing any contract until she’s 16
Peter Andre has said his daughter Princess wants to become a singer but has warned she’ll have to wait another two years.
The dad-of-four who shot to fame in the nineties with his single Mysterious Girl says Princess, 14, has a “real talent”.
Her brother Junior, 16, has already signed a record contract, but Peter is adamant Princess will have to wait for her turn.
Speaking to OK! he said: “She’s got a beautiful voice. It’s very different from what Junior’s doing, he’s got a different style.
“I’ve said to her from December, when I finish [working on] Grease [stage show], I’ll start taking her to the recording studio a couple of days a month and start co-writing nice songs for her.”
As to when Princess might be able to follow in her brother’s footsteps and secure a record deal, Pete said: “I don’t agree with them signing things before they are 16.”
Peter and Katie Price ‘s 16-year-old son Junior signed a lucrative deal in August to join the same record label as Calvin Harris and Harry Styles.
Junior announced he’d been signed up to release music with Columbia Records UK following in the footsteps of his pop star dad.
Taking to Instagram to celebrate his news the teenager wrote: “Wow. Where do I start? These past six months have been hectic. But I’ve loved every single second of it.
“My dad took me to the studio six months ago and got me in the booth at @rebelrecs.
“Since then I have secretly been working on a MASSIVE project, and not long ago got a call saying @columbiauk want to sign me!”
Pete said that his father didn’t let him sign his record deal until he was 16 and that, like Junior, he wanted to waited for Princess to finish her GCSEs.
The proud dad also said his daughter was “diligent” admitting that he never had to ask her to do her homework.
Peter doesn’t hold back the compliments when speaking about Princess.
The Aussie hitmaker said she’s a natural beauty who doesn’t need make-up to look good.
The father and daughter posed together for a super sweet selfie, with Peter playing the role of proud dad perfectly.
Heaping praise on the teenager, he said: “Can I have a more beautiful daughter?
“I don’t know what she did to this pic but one thing is for sure, She is not wearing makeup. And damn you made your dad look good.
“love you so much bist”
Peter’s post caused an outpouring of admiration from his fans who praised the singer’s parenting skills.
One posted: “Both of your children show such strength and resilience they are an absolute credit to you.”
Another gushed: “She’s absolutely gorgeous her eyelashes have always been long and curled from being a baby Kate was always accused of curling them or putting mascara on them”
While a third wrote: “That’s beautiful to see Father and daughter together.”
