Matt Damon looked unrecognisable after he let his daughters style his hair into a maroon mohawk.

The actor, 51, was filming for The Last Duel in Ireland at the time when production shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic.

His family decided to stay in Dalkey, Ireland, while they waited for things to pick back up and it was during that stagnant year that his girls decided to give him a new hairstyle.

Daughters Stella, 10, Gia, 13, and Isabella, 15, and Alexia, 22, tried their hand at being hair stylists and mohawks seemed to be the best choice for their father.

“I had let the kids dye my hair red. It was their art project basically, and it was clear that we weren’t going back to work,” Matt told Jimmy Fallon during an appearance on The Tonight Show with pal Ben Affleck.

Ben added: “There’s nothing children like more than to humiliate their parents.”

Matt joked he looked like a ‘rooster’

Matt then continued: “Then they decide that I needed a mohawk, so they mohawked me.”

After having a “few drinks” with his wife Luciana, he decided to FaceTime Bono and the mayor of the town. As you do.

“And that was the night that I FaceTimed him, and [the mayor] was like, ‘What are you doing?'” the actor explained.

Host Jimmy proceeded to show the audience a black-and-white photo of the masterpiece mohawk.

“The hair was actually maroon, I looked like a rooster,” Matt clarified.

Matt and Ben were on the show to promote the new historical film they star in, The Last Duel, which is directed by Ridley Scott.
