Britain’s Got Talent star Amanda Holden has hit back after discovering she’s been targeted by fake weight-loss adverts which claim she has lost two-stone with Keto pills
Amanda Holden has been left furious after she was targeted by fake weight-loss adverts which claimed she lost two-stone in six weeks by taking pills.
The advert also claimed that the 50-year-old star had quit her long-term TV role on Britains Got Talent.
Unbeknownst to Amanda, she had been used as the face of the weight-loss adverts in fake news articles which were published to Facebook.
The fabricated articles claimed that the blonde beauty had left ITV bosses infuriated due to the fact she lost ‘too much weight’ after taking the pills for only six weeks.
They also maintained that the TV star had ‘piled on the pounds’ and turned to Keto weight loss tablets in a bid to lose weight.
However, the move to a keto diet had ‘angered ITV bosses’ and she’d decided to leave the reality show after 14 years, the articles insisted.
If that wasn’t enough, the fake advert also claims that more ITV stars including cHolly Willoughby, Emma Willis and Alesha Dixon, have also used the pills in a bid to loose weight.
Amanda is believed to be ‘horrified’ after discovering the ads online.
“Amanda is horrified that she’d be targeted in that way – the last thing she’d want is for her fans to be scammed into buying a product, or thinking she’d quit BGT,” a source told The Sun.
It’s not the first time Amanda has been targeted in fake adverts.
Back in 2019, Amanda was left furious when another fake keto advert used her images.
The TV star took to Twitter to call out the fake stories, and warned her followers that it was a complete scam.
In a furious post, Amanda penned: “I have been made aware that a company is using my name (amongst many others) to sell a Keto Diet.
“I have not given consent for this and have no partnership with this company.
“This is a scam!! So please be careful and do not sign up to this as they will take your money.”
The BGT judge is set to return to the ITV show’s panel to film series 15 auditions later this month.
