Comings and Goings: H+K builds tech team

H+K has expanded its technology team with the hire of three new key staff, reaffirming its commitment to its presence in the tech sector for the new year. 

Dana Mehkri, Himali Bhutani and Stephanie Li, have all joined the H+K’s rapidly growing tech and media relations practice, which is currently led by senior tech expert Janice Foreman. 

“Technology has become increasingly important as our lives have changed over the pandemic,” Foreman wrote in a press release. 

“Our technology communications team embraces technology and understands how to connect it to culture and lifestyles as our world evolves.”

Mehkri, who is taking on the role of account director, has landed at H+K after a three-year stint at Edelman. In her previous post, she spearheaded the firm’s client relationships with technology and media giants including LinkedIn, Intuit, and HP, according to her LinkedIn profile.

While living in Hong Kong, Mehrki was also involved in the media and tech relations at Racepoint Global and Sedgwick Richardson, one of Asia’s leading consultancy firms. 

She holds degrees from both Johns Hopkins University and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

Also joining the ranks is Himali Bhutani, a communications and brand development professional, whose resume includes positions at Apple, Adobe, and the BMW Group.

She received her Bachelors in Journalism and Mass Communications from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.

Stephanie Li, formerly a consultant at Broad Reach Communications, is taking on an associate consultant position with the technology team after having successfully built H+K’s media relationships during 2021. She received her Bachelors in Business from Western University.

NATIONAL Public Relations has also added a new media specialist to its Ottawa team.

Before she moved to NATIONAL, Amelia Chant spearheaded digital advocacy, campaigns, and mobilization for two prominent public affairs companies: Impact Public Affairs and Crestview Strategies.

On the Hill, Chant served as an assistant to former Liberal MP Geoff Regan, starting in his constituency office, and later, during his tenure as Speaker of the House of Commons.
