Ricky has recently taken centre stage in Albert Square with a big storyline but it isn’t the first time that he appeared in the soap before taking on Stuart Highway.

Back in 2009, he played a photographer in The Queen Vic to take pictures of Sam Mitchell (Daniella Westbrook) before fleeing when she took umbrage.

Nine years later, Ricky returned on a permanent basis and he said at the time: “I’m so happy to be part of this brilliant team of people on this great show that I grew up watching.

“Look out Albert Square… Stuart’s coming!”
