Harry Styles and Live Nation have announced that proceeds from his upcoming North American tour will be donated to a nonprofit gun safety organisation.

Harry, 28, recently added new dates to his Love on Tour line-up and all of them have already sold out.

Taking to Instagram on Friday, the former One Direction singer shared a statement with his 45.2 million followers just days after the tragic school shooting in Uvalde city, Texas.

Harry wrote: “Along with all of you, I have been absolutely devastated by the recent string of mass shootings in America, culminating at Robb Elementary School in Texas.

Harry simply captioned the post: “End gun violence,” and also shared call to action information for those who want to help Everytown and their movement.

Live Nation also took to Instagram to confirm the move, and wrote: “Live Nation is proud to join Harry Styles in matching his donation to Everytown for Gun Safety Support Fund – equalling over $1 million and counting.”

Earlier that day, the 18-year-old perpetrator had shot his grandmother in the face, severely wounding her.

The woman later wrote on her Instagram stories that she had no idea who Ramos was and was worried about the gun post.
