X Factor star Shayne Ward and Hollyoaks actress Sophie Austin have revealed their tasteful home decor before announcing that they are expecting their second child.
The couple, who are expecting their second daughter, have embraced a monotone colour scheme throughout the house.
Their living room boasts huge bay windows with stone grey cushioned seating lining the window.
During the festive period Shayne and Sophie tastefully decorated the room with white and silver bows, lanterns and twinkling lights – much to the delight of their fans on Instagram.
In the dining room, their furniture is a sophisticated black, in keeping with the room’s unique beams running through the ceiling.
On one wall is a photo-frame feature and the room is scattered with house plants and reed defusers.
Embracing a cosy vibe, the couple’s living room features a range of neutral and monochrome colours with patterned pillows scattered on the sofa.
The pair chose mood lighting and candles and house plans weren’t in short supply.
Their bedroom has a calming feel to it with a huge grey fabric headboard and pristine white draw units.
The light and airy room has a vaulted ceiling and original wooden beams running along the walls.
The windows have shutters to give the lovebirds some privacy – although that might not be the case for much longer as they are expecting baby number two.
Shayne revealed how his daughter five-year-old daughter Willow can’t wait to be an older sister and has even decided on what she wants to name her sibling.
Speaking to Hello! magazine Shayne said: “I would always say to Sophie: ‘I know in my gut and in my heart of hearts that we are going to have more children.’
“There was no two ways about it. We never gave up. It’s been a whirlwind.
“And 16 years after I appeared on The X Factor, I have a beautiful family and one on the way. I am on cloud nine. It’s amazing that we’re going to have another girl to add to the Ward clan.”
Shayne explained that Willow’s name was inspired by a Disney Princess. He said: “We said to her: ‘What have you always wanted?’ And she said: ‘A baby sister!’
“So we told her that there was one in mummy’s tummy and her face just lit up. She had the biggest smile!
“She keeps saying: ‘Can I just speak to Aurora?’ And then she kisses my tummy.”
The pair got engaged in 2017 and said that they endured a gruelling experience with IVF to fall pregnant with their second baby.
Sophie described the time as “emotionally draining” but praised her husband for his support, adding that they went through the experience together.
She said: “My mental health was probably on the floor. If it hadn’t been for Shayne and Willow… I’ve never felt so depressed and low in my whole life.
“I think it was Shayne’s positivity and belief that kept me going. I would be saying: ‘We need to accept this might not happen,’ and he would refuse.”
The couple previously revealed that they were forced to postpone their wedding plans due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
