Rapper Kanye West has claimed he is redesigning McDonald’s packaging in a surprising new career move as he returned to Instagram for the first time since March
Kanye West has announced a surprising new career move as his ex Kim Kardashian has moved on.
The 44-year-old rapper made his return to Instagram on Monday after he was previously suspended in March.
The dad-of-four – who shares his children with his estranged wife Kim – appears to be redesigning food packaging for fast food chain McDonald’s.
Kanye – who legally goes by the name Ye – posted a photo of the new crisp and clean design.
He captioned the photo: “Ye teams up with legendary Muji industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa to reimagine McDonald’s packaging.”
Over on his Instagram Story, Kanye added: “Next week it’s the fries,” referencing his 2005 track Gold Digger where he rapped, “This week he moppin’ floors, next week it’s the fries.”
McDonald’s is yet to comment on Kanye’s claim.
The new packaging is very different to what customers are used to, as it offers a minimalist approach.
Meanwhile, Kanye’s ex has been busy attending her sister Kourtney’s wedding over the weekend.
The reality star made an appearance at the ceremony, held in Portofino, Italy, with her kids.
Kim’s new boyfriend Pete was nowhere to be seen.
Comedian Pete, 28, was unable to make the lavish Italian extravaganza as he made his final appearance on the US television show, Saturday Night Live.
Snaps emerged from the weekend showing North wearing the light pink coloured garment, alongside snake-skin print leggings, and a sheer, faux-fur collared summer coat.
Fans labelled the outfit as inappropriate for an eight-year-old – with the ensemble ultimately being something that fans would expect sex-tape making star mother Kim to wear.
One Reddit user wrote: “Other than being age and weather inappropriate (I hope Kanye [West] has a word with Kim about repeatedly dressing their 8 yo in corsets.. it’s f**king weird) this is a fabulous outfit.”
Another agreed, writing: “I agree the mom in me doesn’t like the corset on an 8yr [old].”
