Former Love Island contestant Siannise Fudge was targeted by trolls online for her appearance, but she has hit back saying she is ‘happy and healthy’
Former Love Island star Siannise Fudge has hit back at online users who have criticised her appearance.
The reality TV star who featured in the 2020 series of the dating show had been begged by followers to “eat something” after she posted a new pic to her Instagram account.
But she wasn’t prepared to ignore the comments, which also included her being labelled “skin and bone”.
Instead, she clapped back and insisted she is “happy and healthy”.
When one cruel fan on Instagram told her that her New Year’s resolution should be “eat something” she fired back to them that maybe their’s should be to “be kind hun”.
She followed it up by saying: “I receive messages like these daily but whatever body type you are, we are ALL beautiful! Will never understand why people think it’s ok to body shame people online or comment nasty things and I feel sorry for you.
“On the other hand, I am HAPPY and HEALTHY and how I see myself is what matters the most. Happy New Year to you all.”
The comments come a few months after Siannise and her Love Island beau Luke T reportedly called it a day following their two-year relationship.
A source told The Sun at the time: “It’s been a really hard couple of weeks for both of them but it’s over for now.”
The pair were last spotted together on October 27 as they posed up at the Eternals premiere in London.
Fans later started spotting clues that their relationship was over, with some pointing out that she’d liked a video about someone going through a break up and that her TikTok posts hinted she was back on the market.
It’s not the first time a Love Island contestant has been targeted by trolls online.
The latest series saw Priya Gopaldas join the show as a bombshell before leaving after a short spell.
But following the series, she hit out at a social media user who criticised her.
In August, the 24-year-old medical student shared the abuse on her Instagram and insisted it is “the first and last time” she will respond to negative comments.
The troll called her a “stupid tory b***h” and said her body was “absolutely disgusting to look at”.
They also said Priya was “all bones no flesh” and claimed that no one finds that attractive.
But the Londoner refused to get into a war of words and instead tried to educate the user to be more positive.
She said: “Hey Kiara, looking at your Instagram you’re clearly a beautiful girl! As women we should support each other and instead of body shaming we should try to stay kind.
“I love my body because it allows me to run far and be strong. Sometimes criticism like that can be damaging to a woman’s confidence and make them feel like they need to change themselves with surgery or by eating badly when actually we’re all uniquely beautiful.”
