Here’s our betting preview and top tips from the matches this week…

Tottenham vs Brighton: Betting Tip

Since Dejan Kulusevski’s first league start for Spurs, no player has more assists than the Swede and the only player to equal that tally is Harry Kane.

Rodrigo Bentancur and Kulusevski assisted Kane and Cristian Romero the last time Spurs faced Brighton, just last month.

Kane has seven Premier League assists this calendar year, the most of any player and two more than he registered in 36 games in 2021.

Tottenham are looking to win five consecutive league games for the first time since December 2018 in their pursuit of securing a top four finish.

The Seagulls have a poor record against their opponents this weekend and have lost all four of their away games against Spurs.

All signs point to a strong Spurs performance given their recent record in front of goal, but Brighton are renowned for making games tough and drawing is their speciality of late

talkSPORT EDGE tip: Kane and Kulusevski to score at 5/1 (Bet365).

Southampton vs Arsenal: Betting Tip

Alexandre Lacazette has been involved in seven goals in his last six Premier League appearances against Southampton and will be hoping to return to scoring form with pressure on the side to finish top four.

The Gunners lost 2-1 at home to Brighton last week, but haven’t lost a league game on consecutive Saturdays since November 2008, which could bode well this weekend to not buck the trend.

Southampton have conceded 10 goals in their last three home Premier League games (losing all three) and with Arsenal vying for a top four finish they seem the likelier winner.

The Saints also have a poor record when scoring first against the visitors, on seven occasions in the league they’ve taken the lead but only went on to win one of those.

Man United vs Norwich City: Betting Tip

This is another huge match for the race for the top four but also incredibly prominent in the relegation battle at the bottom of the table.

Norwich halted Burnley’s great escape attempts last week with a 2-0 win over the Clarets, but they are still seven points away from Everton and safety.

Manchester United have won a staggering 12 of their last 15 league games against Norwich, winning each of their last four in a row.

Norwich manager Dean Smith won 1-0 at Old Trafford earlier this season with Aston Villa and is highly backed to lose once more as the Canaries sit firmly in the relegation zone.

Norwich are six points behind safety and face a tremendous uphill climb while Man United still have distant dreams of achieving a top four finish, provided Arsenal and Spurs drop enough points in the run-in.

Cristiano Ronaldo has now scored 12 goals this season after a sparse few weeks he netted a hattrick against Tottenham in a five-goal thriller.

Surely he will appear on the scoresheet again this weekend with some vital goals to keep the Red Devils in the running for a Champions League spot.

talkSPORT EDGE tip: Ronaldo to score first AND last at 6/1 (Paddy Power).

Newcastle United vs Leicester City: Betting Tip

These two sides aren’t fighting for relegation or a top four finish but will be looking to end the season as high up as possible.

For the Magpies, this situation was a pipedream just a few months ago as they sat at the bottom of the table with no wins to their name.

But plenty has changed and their 2021/22 campaign could finish with a flurry of points.

Eddie Howe’s side have three games where they can pick up points before they face Liverpool, Man City and Arsenal in succession, before taking on Burnley in the final game.

Leicester have also found a recent surge in points, unbeaten in their last five, they’ve picked up 10 points from a possible 15 which has propelled them to ninth in the table and three games in hand to Wolves, in eighth.

James Maddison has been a large part of their resurgence and also has a great record against Newcastle – being involved in five goals in just six appearances.

But both sides have a different outlook since they last played each other and the Magpies are turning St James’ Park back into a fortress.
